EXAMPLE NO 1.
Perforated self-rolling shelter
Perforated self-rolling shelters protect the trunks of deciduous trees and Scotch Pine against debarking and fraying by the deer and bisons. In practice they are used mostly to protect young Pine trees.

For the best protection of a young tree, if it is a Pine, the shelter should be cut into segments slightly shorter than distances between the whorls and inserted according to preliminary shaping, i.e., the margin to the outside. Do not rewind the shelter.

As the tree grows successive shelter segments are added onto whorls that need protection. The shelter is made of imported raw material enriched with durability promoting substance.

Perforated self-rolling shelters - EXAMPLE NO 1a are produced on the basis of original EXAMPLE NO 1. Thanks to broader (30 cm) and thicker (0.35 mm) foil they protect trunks of 8-9 cm in diameter. This modernisation is due to demand for such shelters for pine trees having good growth conditions including other tree species.
